Retrofit Assessors are trained to undertake a retrofit assessment for dwellings in accordance with PAS 2035, the standard for Retrofit. An Assessor will visit your home and carry out a survey that is required in order to make an informed decision about what measures should be installed, under the supervision of a Retrofit Coordinator.
-
Our Assessors carry a huge responsibility and meticulously undertake the assessments to ensure they are able to capture all the essential information such as:-
-
Information about the home, to be used by the Retrofit Designer
-
Carrying out an appraisal of the dwelling’s heritage and architectural features
-
Determining the construction and condition of the home, including the building services such as heating, hot water, ventilation, and lighting
-
Identifying any constraints on the building that may prevent any energy efficiency measures (EEMs) being installed
-
Identifying any defects, and structural issues, including damp and mould
-
Identifying any EEMs already installed
-
Carrying out a measured survey of the building and providing a report
The data collected from these sources is used by the Retrofit Coordinator to formulate a Medium-Term Improvement Plan. Our Assessors are well established accredited DEAs that have extensive knowledge and experience with RdSAP methodology and assessment of existing dwellings. We have a nationwide team of Trustmark Accredited Retrofit Assessors qualified to deliver assessments in accordance with PAS 2035:2019 and provide detailed reports which identify relevant measures for improving the energy efficiency of individual properties.
